Our Construction Excellence Centre is dedicated
to developing uniform global processes and support tools,
taking ‘best practice’ to new levels . . . our twin goals being
to ensure high quality, and on-time revenue initiation.
To achieve this, we have quality controls in place,
with measured performance throughout the training
of our certified technicians.
Our policy also requires all technicians working on Vestas turbines,
including sub-suppliers, to receive Germanischer Lloyds certified training.
Clear roles have been defined for all members of the construction team
– with specialised training programmes.
In addition, the service teams that will care for the wind turbines
throughout the life of the project are required
to participate in key processes during construction.
As well as ensuring the site is set up correctly,
this means they have to sign off
on mechanical completion and commissioning.

Quality measures through training
• All technicians are trained and certified.
• Germanischer Lloyd training onsite.
• Specialised training for all construction roles whether the technician is a Vestas employee or a sub-supplier.
Detailed monitoring for provable results
To ensure your project will be operational by the agreed date and will be free from problems we rigorously monitor two key areas of performance:
• On-time commissioning
• No defects during construction
As an added precaution, our service team must sign off on the mechanical completion work – and since they will be the ones working with the end product, their own standards are meticulous.
