Hello, my name is Claus Stegmann Strøeh and I'm Senior Vice President for the 2 MW platform here at Vestas. Product evolution is one of the things that we do best. And our strategy is to deliver products designed, tested and manufactured for optimum performance and quality - whatever the wind condition. Building on a strong, industry-leading track record since 1995, we have installed more than 7,800 2 MW turbines around the world, and our 2 MW range today consists of: - the V80-2.0 MW, designed for high wind sites - the V90-1.8/2.0 MW for low to medium wind sites - and the V100-1.8 MW for low wind sites. To constantly strive to be at the forefront of health & safety regulations, grid code compliance noise requirements, etc. we never cease to improve our turbines.. Our CIM organisation keeps a close eye at all operating turbines to ensure we are continuously improving their reliability.. So new generations of our 2 MW turbines are always based on operational experience from our large fleet coupled with innovations and developments that ensure we meet the demands in the market. Furthermore, our newest generation, the 2 MW GridStreamerTM turbines have been adapted to specific market requirements by providing excellent grid compliance through our permanent magnet generator and full scale converter technology . The 2 MW GridStreamerTM are also the first turbines in the world to be designed and certified according to the latest IEC standard effective from 2010.
